POSTEUROP MANAGERS TO VISIT ARMENIA

YEREVAN, April 14. /ARKA/. President of the Association of European
National Postal Operators, PostEurop, Bernard Damiens and PostEurop
Secretary General Injemar Person are to pay a working visit to
Armenia on April 15-16. The press service of the Haypost (Armpost)
Company reports that during the visit Bernard Damiens is expe4cted
to present a plans of joint actions.
During their two-day visit the PostEurop managers are scheduled to
hold meetings with the Haypost managers and with members of the RA
Government to discuss the strategies and programs of cooperation with
the European post system, as well as the reforms being implemented
by Haypost.
On April 15, the PostEurop managers are to attend an official opening
ceremony for the Haypost personnel training center. Ð~^n April 16,
the guests are to attend the opening of a new post office.
The PostEurop are also to hold meetings with RA Minister of Trade
and Economic Development Nerses Yeritsyan, Head of the Department for
State Property Management Karine Kirakosyan as well as with Haypost
managers and personnel.
Since Haypost became the 45th member of PostEurop, which unites 48
countries, it has been seeking leading positions among the companies
rendering postal and financial services. PostEurop’s goal is the
promotion of cooperation between the members of the organization. As
a PostEurop member, Haypost may make use of the organization’s network
and improve the quality of its services.
PostEurop is an association of 48 post operators founded to improve
postal services in Europe and consolidate cooperation between its
members.
The Haypost CJSC is Armenia’s national post operator, which has 900
post offices throughout the county and 4,000-member personnel.
A contract for 5-year trust management of Haypost by the "Haypost
Trust Management" (Holland) was signed in Yerevan on November 30, 2006.
Haypost Trust Management (Amsterdam, Holland) was founded to implement
a trust management program. The company is cooperating with Post
Finance International, which specializes in post modernization in
the developing countries.
