ArmInfo. The state budget of Armenia allocated 21 million drams for
restoration of the irrigation system of Tsitsernakaberd Park, Director
of Armenian Genocide Museum Institute Hayk Demoyan told media, Monday.

‘The park occupies 100 ha territory. However we will restore
only 15 ha this year. A total of 10,600 trees and bushes will be
planted. Nevertheless, the park restoration works will be continued
also in future. I hope we will fully restore it,’ H. Demoyan said.

The park is the largest green zone in the capital city. Unfortunately,
as a result of electricity crisis in 90s, the park was subjected to
large scale felling.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
