DAVID HARUTYUNYAN: RESOLUTION PRESENTED TO PACE IS IMPORTANT AND HAS A GREAT FUTURE

During the spring session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council
of Europe member of the Armenian delegation Avet Adonts presented a
draft resolution on regional cooperation.

During the meeting with reporters Head of the Armenian delegation to
PACE, Chairman of the National Assembly’s Standing Committee on State
and Legal Issues David Harutyunyan characterized the draft resolution
as "important and having great future."

The main idea of the resolution refers to the search of cooperation
mechanisms in those regions where different political and other
conflicts exist. Regional cooperation may embrace different spheres,
which will create certain reciprocal trust among the parties.

Delegations from 20 countries have already joined the
resolution. According to David Harutyunyan, the PACE Bureau will soon
address the document.
