ARMENIAN CENTER FOR CRISIS SITUATIONS CONTROL HAD EXERCISES WITH ASSISTANCE OF NATO

The Armenian center for crisis situations control had exercises with
assistance of NATO in the framework of the national crisis management
scenario.

According to Nikolai Grigoryan, representative of the rescue service
of Armenia, a conventional accident at chemical enterprise Nairit
was chosen as the national scenario.

Grigoryan pointed out, "All forces used in the exercises carried out
in the framework of the scenario coped with their tasks perfectly."

Grigoryan added that observers from NATO countries highly appreciated
the level of preparation of Armenian specialists for manmade disasters.

In turn, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia, Arman Kirakosyan,
emphasized importance of organization of such exercises in Armenia.

Kirakosyan remarked, "The crisis management exercises allow lifting
of cooperation with NATO to a higher level."
