MAIN PLANNING CONFERENCE OF ‘JOINT ARROW, JOINT HENCHMAN AND BRAVE TROT 2008′ EXERCISES STARTED IN YEREVAN

ArmInfo. A three-day main planning conference of "Joint Arrow, Joint
Henchman and Brave Trot 2008" exercises started in Yerevan today.
Deputy Head of RA Armed Forces’ General Headquarters, Major-General
Arshaluys Paytyan and deputy Head of the ground posture command
headquarters, Brigadier General Claudio Verchelotti welcomed the
conference participants and made a speech. About 100 servicemen take
part in the conference, 37 of them – from different subdivisions
of NATO Command, and 63 ones, representing 21 states, have already
expressed their desire to participate in the exercises. Seven NATO
countries (USA, Poland, Lithuania, Canada, Greece, Hungary and Great
Britain) have sent their officers to Armenia. A plan of drillings
will be developed at the conference, legal issues and programmes
will be coordinated and the personnel lists will be replenished. The
drillings, with participation of about 800 officers, ensigns will and
sergeants will contribute to enhancement of the peacekeeping forces’
personnel skills.
