HAROUTIUN MERDINIAN WINS CUP TOURNAMENT OF THREE TIMES OLYMPIC CHAMPION ALBERT AZARIAN

YEREVAN, JUNE 16, NOYAN TAPAN. The International Tournament of
the best sportsman of the 20th century in Armenia, Albert Azarian,
finished on June 15 in Yerevan. Representatives of Armenia, Georgia,
Iran, and Syria took part in it.

Haroutiun Merdinian became the winner in multiathlon. Hovhannes
Davtian and Artyom Avetian (all of them from Armenia) took the second
and third places.

The gymnasts from Armenia, Haroutiun Merdinian and Artyom Avetian,
Vahagn Stepanian were also the best on individual intruments. Some
of the guests won the third prize on various instruments.
