BAKU: Azerbaijani And Armenian Defense Ministers Not To Meet In Bish

AZERBAIJANI AND ARMENIAN DEFENSE MINISTERS NOT TO MEET IN BISHKEK

The defense ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia are not expected to
meet in Bishkek. "The Defense Minister of Azerbaijan Safar Abiyev
will not meet with his Armenian counterpart in Bishkek," Eldar
Sabiroglu, the spokesman for the Defense Ministry of Azerbaijan and
colonel-lieutenant said to media on 30 June.

The meeting of the Council of Defense Ministers of CIS (Commonwealth
of Independent States) will be held in Bishkek on 1 July. The Defense
Minister of Armenia Seyran Ogayan will also attend the meeting. The
Armenian mass media reported that Ogayan would meet with his
Azerbaijani colleague during his visit to Bishkek.

According to Sabiroglu, there was no preliminary agreement on the
meeting of the defense ministers of the two countries.
