weghtlifter in Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. 20-year-old Meline
Daluzian (63kg), who won a gold medal in the previous two European

Meline was at her height in the European Championship 2008, when she

Her best result in the World Championships Meline showed in 2006,
when she won a bronze medal lifting 232kg.

The weightlifter has been seriously training for the past 2 months
trying to improve her own result. "I would be honored to win a medal
in the upcoming Olympic Games. I was concentrated on my training
only and had ignored any kind of entertainment as time was pressing,"
Daluzian says.

The favorite in the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games is Haixia Liu, who won
the gold medal in the World Championship 2007, lifting 257kg. Daluzian
has another rival too – Svetlana Tsarukaeva of Russia, silver-medalist
in the World Championship 2007.
