STRALSUND, Germany: A sexual harassment complaint has been filed against IBF
middleweight champion Arthur Abraham, the Stralsund district attorney’s
office said Monday.
Local officials will now have to determine whether the complaint merits an
investigation.
A local radio station first reported that the unbeaten German (27-0, 22
knockouts) is accused of harassing a masseuse during training camp for a
fight on the resort island of Ruegen.
"The accusations are without any substance," said Heiko Mallwitz, a
spokesman for Abraham promoter Sauerland Events.
The district attorney’s office released no other details. The Armenian-born
Abraham ranks among the most popular athletes in Germany.
