WIPO: INVENTORS IN ARMENIA DEVELOP LOCKING PLIERS

GENEVA, Sept. 2 – Karen Gasparyan and Patvakan Hakhinyan, both of
Yerevan, Armenia, have developed locking pliers.

According to an abstract posted by the World Intellectual Property
Organization, the invention is related to "hand-operated locking
pliers that enable locking of the jaws during clamping."

The invention carries International Patent Publication
No. WO/2008/101259 on Aug. 21.

The original patent was filed in Armenia under application
No. PCT/AM2008/000003 on Feb. 13, 2008. It is available at:
