COMMISSION ON FIGHTING MONEY LAUNDERING AND TERRORISM SPONSORSHIP ESTABLISHED IN NAGORNO-KARABAKH

STEPANAKERT, 08.09.08. DE FACTO. On 6 September NKR President Bako
Sahakyan signed a decree concerning forming an inter-departmental
commission on fighting money laundering and terrorism
sponsorship. According to the decree to fight money laundering
and sponsorship of terrorism in the Nagorno Karabagh Republic as
well as to organize an effective coordination of activities between
competent authorities the inter-departmental commission was formed. The
composition of the commission is the following: Prime-minister of
the Nagorno Karabagh Republic (chairman of the commission); Minister
of finance of the Nagorno Karabagh Republic (deputy chairman of
the commission); Representative of the Office of the President of
the Nagorno Karabagh Republic; Chairman of the NKR Supreme Court;
Attorney-general of the of the Nagorno Karabagh Republic; Minister of
justice of the Nagorno Karabagh Republic; Minister of foreign affairs
of the Nagorno Karabagh Republic; Director of the National Security
Service under the NKR Cabinet of Ministers; Head of the State Tax
Service under the NKR Cabinet of Ministers; Head of the NKR Police.

According to the decree the Cabinet of Ministers of the Nagorno
Karabagh Republic is to adopt the charter of the commission within
the period of one month.
