ARMENIAN PRESIDENT RECEIVES CHAIRMAN OF GERMAN CONSTITUTIONAL COURT

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 23, ARMENPRESS: Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan
received today the chairman of the German Constitutional Court
Hans-Yurgen Papieri and delegation headed by him. Presidential
press service told Armenpress that during the meeting the president
pointed out about Armenian-German active political contacts and their
continuative nature.
Underscoring the cooperation with the German Constitutional Court,
the leader of the country expressed assurance that it will promote
the improvement of constitutional justice in Armenia.
"Our goal is to ensure constitutional justice in Armenia, so that basic
human rights be protected," Serzh Sargsyan said, adding that "We need
your experience and want to use it to consolidate our state authority."
The chairman of the German Constitutional Court gave a short outline of
the activity of the court and its 60-years history. Noting that they
are impressed with strive of Armenia to look to the foreign world,
apply the new, Hans-Yurgen Papieri said that they are ready to share
with their experience with the Armenian colleagues.
Serzh Sargsyan referred to the Armenian-German relations, noting that
they are successfully developing in all the spheres. Germany is second
donor country for Armenia as well as the second trade partner within
the circle of EU.
