BORIS TADIC INVITES SERZH SARGSYAN TO SERBIA

President Serzh Sargsyan had a meeting with the President of Serbia
Boris Tadic. The Presidents attached importance to the further
development of political, economic and cultural cooperation between
Armenia and Serbia and noted that there is a great potential for
development.
Serzh Sargsyan and Boris Tadic noted that despite geographical
distance, the Armenian and Serb people have many historical-cultural
similarities and have a warm attitude towards each other.
At the request of the President of Serbia, Serzh Sargsyan
presented Armenia’s position on the Karabakh conflict resolution,
the Armenian-Turkish relations and the recent developments in the
region. Serzh Sargsyan and Boris Tadic agreed that the solution of
the existing problems via negotiations, the establishment of peace
and stability in the region are important preconditions for progress,
development and realization of regional initiatives.
The President of Serbia stressed the special role the Armenian
community of Serbia can have in the further development of
Armenian-Serbian relations.
Boris Tadic invited Serzh Sargsyan to pay an official visit to Serbia.
