TIGRAN TOROSYAN GIVES IN HIS RESIGNATION

In accordance with the By-Law of the National Assembly of the
Republic of Armenia, five days after submitting his resignation
at the extraordinary sitting of the Parliament of 19 September,
NA President Tigran Torosyan submitted the second application to
the Vice-Speaker of the national Assembly Hrayr Karapetyan. Thus,
his resignation is considered accepted.
According to Article 19.2 of the By-Law of the National Assembly,
the responsibilities of the President of the National Assembly will
be carried out by NA Vice-President Hrayr Karapetyan.
The election of the Chairman of the National Assembly is expected at
the four-day sitting to start on September 29.
