President Vladimir Putin ordered the Russian government to discuss the restoration of cooperation with Turkey, including in trade, after phone conversation with his Turkey counterpart earlier in the day, the Kremlin said Wednesday, Sputnik News reports.
Putin instructed the Russian government toĀ lift tourism-related restrictions againstĀ Turkey.
Putin and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan underscored the need toĀ bolster international cooperation inĀ the fight againstĀ terrorism, the Kremlinās press service said.
“Both sides emphasized the need toĀ intensify international cooperation inĀ the fight againstĀ a common terrorist threat.”
The Russian and Turkish presidents agreed toĀ hold a personal meeting inĀ the nearĀ future, according toĀ the Kremlin.
