The meeting between Armenian, Azerbaijani, and Russian Foreign
Ministers took place in Bishkek yesterday.

Edward Nalbandyan says the details of the negotiations on the
settlement of Karabakh conflict were discussed, which was based on the
`Madrid’ proposals made by Minsk Group Co-Chairman.

`I have already said that the key issues of the settlement of NKR
conflict are agreed upon and I would like to repeat that the key issue
of Nagorno Karabakh conflict is the status of Nagorno Karabakh which
must be solved by the expression of the free will of NKR people. And if
there are opinions that the key issues are solved, then we can conclude
that there is mutual understanding regarding the before mentioned
issue,’ the Foreign Minister underscored.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
