Armenian FM, British Minister Of Europe Discuss Cooperation

ARMENIAN FM, BRITISH MINISTER OF EUROPE DISCUSS COOPERATION

YEREVAN, October 28. /ARKA/. RA Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandyan,
who is on a visit to Great Britain, held a meeting with British
Minister of Europe Caroline Flint.

The press service of the RA Foreign Office reports that the sides
discussed issues of cooperation between Armenia and the European Union,
particularly the implementation of the plan of action as part of the
European Neighborhood policy.

The sides also discussed regional problems, particularly the prospects
of settling conflicts, intensification of bilateral relations.

The RA Foreign Minister also visited the House of Lords, where he held
a meeting with members of the Armenian-British friendship group. A
dinner party was arranged in Edward Nalbandyan’s honor.

Attending the meeting were representatives of the Labor Party,
Conservative Party and other parties.

At his meeting with British parliamentarians Minister Nalbandyan
stressed that the Armenian side attaches importance to
parliamentarians’ role as a link between the two nations.

The meeting participants discussed issues of mutual interest, regional
and international problems.

During his visit, Minister Nalbandyan is to deliver a speech at the
Royal Institute of International Affairs, give an interview to the
BBC radio and hold meetings with representatives of the Armenian
community and with British Government’s Special Representative in
the South Caucasus Brian Fall.
