ARMENIA ATTAINS REMOVAL OF THE REGULATION, CONDEMNING ACTIVITY AGAINST TERRITORIAL INTEGRITY OF ANY COUNTRY, FROM THE CIS MODEL LAW

The Armenian side has attained the removal of the regulation,
inadmissible for Armenia, from the CIS model law "On resistance to
extremism", said vice speaker of Armenian parliament Griyr Karapetyan.
He said during the session of the Commission of Defense, Security
and Internal Affairs of the CIS Parliamentary Assembly held in
Saint-Petersburg on October 21-25, the Armenian side states the
inadmissibility of a regulation, according to which any activity,
targeting the territorial integrity of any country, is considered
extremist.
"We met with lieutenant-general Viktor Voytenko, the chairman of
the commission, and announced that the model laws must not contain
regulations, inadmissible for any country", said Karapetyan, who
attended the session of the commission.
He said after the talks the commission chairman decided to remove
this regulation from the draft law.
