influence in a positive way the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict

Baku, Fineko/abc.az. Completion of the elections in Azerbaijan and
Armenia, activation of Turkey’s and Russia’s intermediary efforts
create an auspicious ground for defined progress in regulation of the
Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict.

Ambassador of Russia to Azerbaijan Vasily Istratov said a new
situation has been created in the region and there is an opportunity
to use it for a positive development of the Armenia-Azerbaijan
conflict.

`There is an auspicious opportunity for new initiatives, but that does
not mean they will exist. We may only hope,’ V.Istratov stated.

On November 2, Russia initiated the meeting of Azerbaijan’s President
Ilham Aliyev and Armenia’s President Serzh Sargsyan with participation
of Russia’s President Dmitry Medvedev. The negotiations will be held
in Moscow. On October 31 the Meeting of Azerbaijan’s, Armenia’s and
Russia’s Foreign Ministers will be held in Moscow and on November 1 it

and negotiations allow to hope for some new initiatives concerning
