YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 4, ARMENPRESS: "Project and Construction of the
Year-2008" architectural contest-exhibition will soon kick off
in Yerevan.
Head of the national museum-institute of architecture Ashot Grigorian
told Armenpress that the terms of the contest are being worked out
and will somehow differ from last year’s conditions.
"This time we try to assess the architectural idea, although it may
have no demand in the market. It is not a secret that today projects
are drawn by the customers’ wish, and the great architectural idea
remains in the shadow", A. Grigorian said. According to him, also
encouraging means are intended to attract the youth. The results of
the contest will be summed up in 2009.
