To the request of German "Frankfurter algemeine tseitung" newspaper
on Turkish recommendation to establish a group of historians to study
the details of Armenian genocide, the President of Armenia Serzh
Sargsyan said that there is absolutely no need for that initiative.
"We don’t think that it would solve problems. We wish to establish
diplomatic relationship without any preconditions, to open the
borders and only after that to discuss questions in the frames of
inter-governmental structures. If Turkey recognizes Armenian Genocide
this is not a precondition for us to start diplomatic relationship
with them," said Serzh Sargsyan.
