ARMENIAN MEN’S AND WOMEN’S NATIONAL TEAMS WIN 5th TOUR OF WORLD CHESS OLYMPIAD

DRESDEN, NOVEMBER 18, NOYAN TAPAN. The 5th tour’s games took place on
November 17 in the World Chess Olympiad being held in Dresden. The
Armenian men’s national team beat the national team of Holland with
the score of 2.5 to 1.5 and the women’s national team the team of
France with the same score.

The men’s national team has gained 9 points and shares the 1-6th places
and the women’s team 8 points and shares the 2-13rd places. The team
of China is the leader of women’s tournament with 10 points.

November 18 is announced a rest day in the Olympiad. On November
19 the men chess players of Armenia will compete with the delegates
of Azerbajan and the women chess players will the delegates of the
Ukraine.
