Armenian President to Visit Turkey

In October in 2009, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan will visit
Istanbul, where he will watch a football match between the National
teams of Turkey and Armenia within the framework of the World Cup,
Armen Grigoryan, the Armenian Minister of Youth and Sport, said, the
Turkish Yeni Shafag newspaper reported.
According to Grigoryan, they have got an invitation from Turkey to
watch the football match and the Armenian President will visit Turkey.
On the other hand, Grigoryan did not speak about Sargsyan’s visit to
Turkey in his interview with the Turkish Huriyyet newspaper. Local
political scientists believe that Eduard Nalbandyan, the Armenian
Foreign Minister, is expected to discuss Sargsyan’s visit with Ali
Babacan, the Turkish Foreign Minister, during his visit to Turkey on
24 November.
