Armenia: President Serzh Sargsyan met with the Council of Europe
Commissioner for Human Rights

Today, President Serzh Sargsyan met with the Council of Europe
Commissioner for Human Rights, Thomas Hammarberg.

The President of Armenia assessed cooperation of our country with the
Council of Europe as efficient, stressing its importance from the view
point of strengthening democracy and protection of human rights.

The two sides discussed issues pertaining to the activities of the
Fact-finding commission established to probe into the events of March
1-2.

The parties discussed also the issue of the persons in custody and
related court proceedings.
