MEMBERS OF ARMENIAN CHESS NATIONAL TEAM AWARDED FIRST DEGREE MEDAL FOR SERVICES PROVIDED TO HOMELAND

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 27, NOYAN TAPAN. For their brilliant victory in
the World Chess Olympiad, keeping high homeland’s sports honor,
presenting Armenia with dignity in the international sphere, as well
as promoting chess development in Armenia, by RA President Serzh
Sargsyan’s November 26 decree, for their Services Provided to the
Homeland first degree medal was awarded to:
Arshak Petrosian, the coach of the Armenian men’s chess national team,
international grand master,
Levon Aronian, international grand master,
Vladimir Hakobian, international grand master,
Artashes Minasian, international grand master,
Tigran L. Petrosian, international grand master,
Gabriel Sargsian, international grand master.
According to the report provided to Noyan Tapan by the RA President’s
Press Office, by S. Sargsyan’s another decree of the same day, for
the Services Provided to the Homeland, Vice-Chairmen of the Chess
Federation of Armenia Levon Yolian and Smbat Lputian, Director of
the Chess House Hrachya Tavadian, and businessman Artak Sargsian were
awarded second degree medal.
