HIS HOLINESS ARAM I RECEIVES THE AMBASSADOR OF GREECE

The Ambassador of Greece to Lebanon, H.E. Panos Kalogeopoulos visited His
Holiness Aram I in Antelias on December 11.

The Pontiff and his guest discussed the most recent developments in Lebanese
politics and the Armenian community’s active participation in the country’s
political and social life. Upon the Greek diplomat’s request, His Holiness
Aram I briefed him on his recent visit to the Vatican.

The bilateral relations between the Armenian and Greek churches were also
discussed, in addition to the violence that has erupted in Athens and
surrounding Greek cities in the last few days.
