DIGITALIZATION OF DOCUMENTS AND FILMS IN NATIONAL ARCHIVE

"We have already started to digitalize of documents and films, our
employees are responsible for that, they do it via scanners. But I can
not say how much we have done," said Amatuni Virabyan, the director of
National Archive to Panorama.am. According to him 72mln AMD has been
disposed by the state budget to buy new equipments for digitalization.
Regarding the films, Mr. Amatuni said: "We try to get experienced
first digitalizing those films which are not so important."
There are more than 3.5mln. materials in the National Archive –
records, photo materials, films, etc.
