HIS HOLINESS ARAM I RECEIVES THE AMBASSADOR OF AUSTRALIA
His Holiness Aram I received the Ambassador of Australia to Lebanon, Lindal
Sash, on January 5. The Pontiff and his guest discussed issues related to
the political situation in the Middle East in general and the internal
developments in Lebanon.
His Holiness Aram I expressed his viewpoints on these issues after listening
to the positions of the Australian government and the thoughts of the
Ambassador. Referring to the recent developments in Palestine, His Holiness
stressed the importance of a balanced approach by the international
community towards the Middle East.
The Australian Ambassador offered her well wishes to His Holiness on the
occasion of the New Year and Christmas.
