Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Mr Hovik
Abrahamyan on January 14 received Ms Silvia Zehe, Secretary General’s
Special Representative to Armenia of the Council of Europe.
During the meeting issues concerning the cooperation of the National
Assembly and the Council of Europe in 2009 were discussed. RA NA
Speaker Mr Hovik Abrahamyan noted that there were numerous programmes
and a lot of things would be done this year. He also touched upon the
visit of the co-rapporteurs of CoE Monitoring Committee to Armenia,
noting the steps undertaken towards the fulfillment of PACE 1609 and
1620 resolutions regarding our country.
At the meeting other issues were also discussed.
