YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 2, ARMENPRESS: The preparatory works of Armenia’s
participation in the "Shanghai 2010" exhibition continue. The chief
commissioner of these works is the Armenian Economy Minister, the
national operator – the Armenian Development Agency (ADA).

Executive director of ADA Robert Harutyunian told Armenpress that 185
states and 45 international organizations presented applications of
participation in the exhibition. Armenia will be represented with a
pavilion of 500 square meters. A National day is appointed for all
the participant states. The Armenian National day will be marked on
September 21, 2010.

According to R. Harutyunian the exhibition which is organized once
in five years this time will be unprecedented with its sizes and
scope. At present the concept of Armenian participation is being
worked out. The aim is not so commercial, but is the refer to the
town building issues in the context of the country economy during
the six months of the exhibition.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
