We have never seen a draft law worse than this one, at least in the
field of broadcasting, President of the Yerevan Press Club Boris
Navasardyan said, speaking about the proposed amendments to the Law
on Television and Radio.

Boris Navasardyan hopes that many questions, the answers to which
cannot be found in the current draft, will be taken into consideration
before the discussion of the bill during the recurrent four-day
sitting at the National Assembly.

President of the "Internews" non-governmental organization Nune
Sargsyan proposes to refuse from the existing law instead of working
on it.

A new law is needed, she says.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
