Grigor Hovhannisyan, the adviser of the Foreign Minister of Armenia
is appointed as the Consul of Armenia to the United States, reports
the public relations department of the Foreign Ministry. Grigor
Hovhannisyan was born in 1971 in Yerevan. In 1992 he graduated from
Yerevan State University Faculty of Oriental Studies. In 1992-93
he passed a qualification course in international affairs in Beirut
Haykazyan University.
Grigor Hovhannisyan did his Master’s at Fletcher Law and Diplomacy
School in 2001. In 1994-2006 worked in the United Nations having
various positions in Armenia, Democratic Republic of Congo and Middle
East. In 2006-2009 Hovhannisyan worked as executive director of
"Shushi Re-birth" foundation. G. Hovhannisyan speaks English, French,
Arabic and Russian.
