Munich Security 45th Conference launches today in Germany. World
political elite announced their attendance to the conference. The
President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan has also left for Germany, where
he will have various bilateral meetings with the heads of states
present at the conference. The Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkell,
the President of France Nikolas Sarkozy, the Prime Minister of Poland
Donald Tusk, the President of Afghanistan Hamid Carzay, Director
General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Mohamed
ElBaradei confirmed their attendance to the conference. Munich Security
Conference (MSC) is increasingly emerging as the most important annual
forum for international decision-makers in the area of foreign and
security policy – Presidents and Prime Ministers of 13 countries,
46 Ministers, Directors of 6 international organizations, 70 official
delegations from 50 countries are going to gather.
The agenda of the conference will be structured into several major
subjects – NATO, Russia, Natural Gas and the Middle East: The Future of
European Security, Global Challenges and the Crisis of International
Order, Regional Instabilities: Transcaucasus and the Balkans, The
Future of the Alliance and the Mission in Afghanistan, etc.
Joseph R. Biden, the new U.S. Vice President is going to present the
new Presidential Administration in the forum.
