YEREVAN, February 26. /ARKA/. Armenian Government expects Control
Chamber to assist it in controlling effectiveness of the state budget
implementation, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan said while opening
governmental meeting on Thursday.
"We asked the chairman of the Control Chamber to assist the government
in risk-based control over effectiveness of expenses", he said. "The
chamber’s work can contribute a great deal to implementation of a
right expenditure policy."
The premier said that the chairman of the chamber will point out the
areas where inspections have found out high risks.
"If high risks in these areas remain, we merely won’t spend money
there, especially if these sectors take no lessons from that", he
said adding that the suspended expenses will save budget funds in 2009.
The state budget revenue is planned to total AMD 905.4 billion and
expenses AMD 945.4 billion in 2009.
Deficit will amount to AMD 40 billion.
