On March 4 President of the Nagorno Karabagh Republic Bako Sahakyan
met a delegation headed by chief of the Central department of civil
aviation under the Cabinet of Ministers of Republic of Armenia
Artyom Movsesyan that encompassed representatives of architectural
and construction organizations.
Issues related to reopening of Stepanakert airport were discussed at
the meeting. The Head of the State expressed his satisfaction with the
successful completion of the first stage of the airport’s reopening
activities. Bako Sahakyan underlined that the same paces should
be kept while realizing the second stage of activities directed to
launch and complete a passenger complex corresponding to international
standards in due time. Special attention was paid to preparation
of cadres. The President noted that the NKR authorities will keep
providing all possible assistance to carry out this strategically
important for Artsakh project. NKR premier Ara Haroutyunyan and
other officials partook at the meeting.
