Meeting with the Iranian Writers

On March 12, Mr. Armen Ashotyan, Chairman of the Standing Committee
on Science, Education, Culture, Youth and Sport of the National
Assembly, met with the group of Iranian writers and cultural figures,
who arrived in Armenia, aiming to participate in the third stage of
the events of Armenia `Iran cultural cooperation.

Issues, related to the development of the cultural ties of the two
countries were discussed during the meeting. In order to have more
advanced cooperation in this area, it was mutually agreed that the
practical contacts and events should be activated, new translations of
the works of arts should be done and cultural weeks should be
organized.

At the guests’ request Mr. Ashotyan presented the legislative
solutions, directed to the cultural development, protection of
copyright, present problems and deeds in our country.
