Recently, the Prime Minister Ara Haroutyunyan has been to a number of
villages of Hadrout region. During the meetings with the inhabitants
the work of the last year was summarized, the tasks for the future
were discussed. Touching upon the state programmes, the Prime Minister
attached importance to the development of agriculture and informed
the villagers about the state support and the tasks outlined in
this direction.

The Head of the Government was aware of almost the same problems
existent in all the four villages before his visit, among them
those of drinking and irrigating water deficiency, roads, time
worn-out (life-expired, depreciated) agricultural machinery, housing
problems. At the meetings Ara Haroutyunyan noted that all the problems
will be settled according to their urgency. The state focuses its
attention first on the development of agriculture as a strategic
branch of economy.

The district has favourable conditions to develop cattle-breeding. The
Head of the Government regards inadmissible the fact that our
Republic has become a country importing meat and dairy products. By
the end of the second half of the year credits will be rendered to
the cattle-breeders as well.

Due to the state support more autumn sowing and fallowing works
have been carried out in the communities of Kuratagh and Aknaghbyur
this year. The Prime Minister offers the villagers to be engaged in
cultivation of fruit-trees as well. The issue of irrigation will be
settled by means of artesian wells. The place for well-boring will
be determined by specialists.

The inhabitants of Aknaghbyur attracted the Prime Minister’s attention
to the state of houses of the 7 families resettled in the lower part
of the village.

Many of the inhabitants of Kuratagh, Aknaghbyur and Ukhtadzor have
problems of housing conditions’ improvement. Part of them is a
result of poor quality construction. The Prime Minister noted that
the state will not implement construction and reconstruction works
of houses. Besides, providing the perished soldiers’ families with
houses, the state will support building houses only for families
having many children. Anyway, the state creates favourable conditions
for the villager to get income in order that everybody will have an
opportunity to build his own house. Young families will be provided
a chance to make use of hypothecary crediting in future.

Visiting the district, the Head of the Government proposed the heads
of rural administrations to support the villagers in the reconstruction
works of houses by providing the necessary construction materials.

Since the middle of this year restoration of village roads will
begin. The Tsakuri-Aigestan road section will be reconstructed,
which will facilitate the contact with the regional administration
centres and the capital.

Many problems in communities will be settled jointly. For instance,
the state will render construction materials for the restoration
of the club roof in Kuratagh, and the works will be implemented by
the community craftsmen. The means of Kuratagh inhabitants are not
sufficient for erecting a monument in commemoration of the perished
soldiers. There is neither a club, nor a nursery school in Aknaghbyur,
though the village has many children under school age. The medical
post operates in the rural administration building, the ceremony
house is not floored. This issue as well will be settled jointly. The
Prime Minister promised to provide the inhabitants of Aknaghbyur
with an ambulance car. The communities of the district will have
an agriculturist.

After the meeting with the villagers of Ukhtadzor the
Prime Minister got familiarized with conditions of the school
building. A part of a standard model construction having 68 pupils is
accident-sensitive. After its restoration, conditions will be created
for the higher school to organize its classes. It is anticipated to
have a canteen and a hall of residence here.

During his visit to the region of Hadrout, Ara Haroutyunyan attended
the secondary school of Jrakus as well. The school building of the
village having 215 inhabitants is small for 59 pupils. Four additional
classes will be attached to the educational institution in future. The
state will never economize on securing stable demographic development.
