Moscow swings to France’s Sinatra
Charles Aznavour, the legendary French singer of Armenian origins, has
performed the only concert in Barvikha Luxury Village. The 84-year-old
Aznavour sang for six hundred music lovers.
The author of over one thousand songs is often referred to as the
`Frank Sinatra of France’.
Aznavour gave his first concert in Moscow 45 years ago. Since then his
chansons, mostly dealing with love and romance, have gained popularity
around the globe. The French singer performs in six languages and says
he remembers all of his songs by heart.
Born Shahnur Aznavurian in Paris, he has sold over 100 million records
worldwide and was named Entertainer of the Century by CNN and users of
Time Online, relegating Charlie Chaplin and Elvis Presley to positions
behind himself.
