Nika Award To Be Launched In Moscow

NIKA AWARD TO BE LAUNCHED IN MOSCOW

"Nika Award" of the Russian Academy of Cinematographic Arts will
take place on 3 April. Famous artists having Armenian roots also are
nominated in different nominations of the award.

"The Vanished Empire" by Karen Shakhnazarov is nominated as the best
film; Armen Djigarkhanyan is nominated in the "best second role actor"
nomination, Roman Balayan’s "Paradise Birds" is nominated in "best
film of CIS and Baltic countries".

The Nika Award is a prestigious annual ceremony held by the Russian
Academy of Cinema Arts and Sciences which was established in 1987
in Moscow.
