The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has agreed on the new doping plan
for professional FIFA football players.
Based on the new conditions, the WADA may monitor a doping test at
any given time to find out whether or not the football player has
used any prohibited substance.
Head of the FIFA medical service Irzhi Dvorzhak rushed to calm down
football players.
"The thorough examination is intended for football players who are
in the risk zone. They include those players who have just recovered
from injuries or who have been found to have used substances in the
past. Should there be any doubts, the WADA may monitor a doping test
from any football player at any given time."
FIFA has also made a declaration regarding another scandal. After the
selective Moldova-Switzerland match for the world cup on March 28,
a number of bookmaker offices appealed to FIFA and noted that there
had been a rather large amount of bids after Switzerland’s victory.
FIFA experts came to the conclusion that the match was not determined
in advance.
"The coefficient for Switzerland’s win at the end was rather low. Based
on experience, in such cases large bids are made on low coefficients
so that there will be greater benefit."
