CONSTRUCTION OF IRAN-ARMENIA HIGHWAY TO KICK OFF IN THIRD QUARTER OF 2009

YEREVAN, APRIL 14, ARMENPRESS: The construction of the Iran-Armenia
highway will kick off in the third quarter of the running year,
the chairman of the NA’s finance-credit and budget affairs permanent
commission Gagik Minasian told Armenpress, informing that Iran-Armenia
railway program is currently in the round of projecting and its
construction is expected to kick off next year.
Minasian said that it is early to speak about the time of finishing
of the two projects, at the same time noting that Asian Development
Bank expresses readiness to provide financial assistance for the
implementation of the programs. The final cost of the projects is
being clarified.
Referring to the tender of construction of new nuclear unit
G. Minasian expressed assurance that it goes on according to the
schedule. According to him, there are countries which expressed
interest but it is early to present any information about them.
