ALL ARMENIAN ASSOCIATION OF ARCHITECTS AND ENGINEERS ESTABLISHED TO CONTRIBUTE TO DEVELOPMENT OF ARMENIAN ARCHITECTURAL ART

YEREVAN, APRIL 24, NOYAN TAPAN. The All Armenian Conference of
Architects held in Armenia was the first bridge between the mentioned
sphere’s specialists of the Homeland and the Diaspora. It was mentioned
at the press conference dedicated to summing up of the conference. RA
Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobian said that the professional
conference is the format that gives a possibility to use the Armenian
professional potential for homeland’s development and strengthening.

The video conference held within the framework of the conference made
it possible to also involve Armenian architects of Los Angeles in the
conference and to listen to their proposals and opinions as well on
the issues being discussed.

An All Armenian Association of Architects and Engineers was established
within the framework of the conference to contribute to development
of Armenian architectural art, unification of scientific and creative
thought of architectural and urban development sphere in Armenia,
Artsakh, and Diaspora around national ideas through consolidation of
all Armenian potential and cooperation.

The participants of the All Armenian Conference of Architects
adopted a joint statement attaching importance to mutual cognition of
architects of Armenia, Artsakh, and Diaspora, their involvement and
integration into world architectural-construction processes, use of
modern technologies, preservation of architectural cultural heritage,
as well as training of young specialists.

As Chief Architect of Armenia Narek Sargsian mentioned at the press
conference, the conference was an excellent occasion for communicating
with colleagues and exchanging experience with them. American Armenian
architect Aram Alajajian also attached importance to the possibility
when specialists living in various countries of the world can gather
in the homeland and jointly discuss their problems and tasks.

In the opinion of architect Varuzhan Arakelian, who had arrived in
Armenia to take part in the conference, the participants living in
various countries and being the bearers of those countries’ cultures
can advance by complementing each other and learning from each
other. According to French Armenian architects Alen Daronian and Ashot
Durian, the conference gave them a possibility to be acquainted with
Armenia’s architecture and to better understand the current problems.
