Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft will be supplied to Armenia in late
2009 – early 2010, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Sergei Ivanov said
in Yerevan on Saturday.
"Hopefully, two Superjet 100’s will be supplied to the Armenian
airline Armavia at the end of this year or early next year. This is
an advanced regional aircraft. Tests are underway," he said.
The planes will fly to Armenia for highland tests this July, Ivanov
said.
Earlier reports said that the first commercial Sukhoi Superjet 100
would be sold to Armavia.
"The jet is being assembled. It will soon be delivered to the client,
Armavia," Sukhoi Civil Aircraft PR Director Olga Kayukova said.
The catalog price of the jetliner is $28 million, but the price of
each deal is negotiated. The delivery must be prepaid, she noted.
