TIGRAN SARGSYAN ADDRESSES MESSAGE OF CONDOLENCES ON THE DEATH OF AYDIN MORIKYAN

YEREVAN, MAY 20, ARMENPRESS: Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan
addressed a message of condolences on the death of outstanding
journalist, orator, public figure Aydin Morikyan who passed away May
19 at the age of 51.

Public relations department of the Armenian Government told Armenpress
that the message of condolences particularly says: "With deep sorrow
I learnt about the untimely death of the well known journalist
and editor Aydin Morikyan. His name is closely connected with the
Artsakh movement, restoration and development of Armenian independent
statehood. He was one of those intellectuals who unhesitatingly stood
by the nation, exerted all the efforts and enthusiasm to make its
wishes come true.

Aydin Morikyan founded and headed editor’s staff of "Hayastani
Hanrapetutyun "("Republic of Armenia") daily, worked in other media
making a great contribution to the consolidation of the state’s
free press.

I offer my deep condolences in connection with the death of Aydin
Morikyan to his family and relatives, the community of journalists".
