Celebration On The Day Of Republic Organized In The Sardarapat Memor

CELEBRATION ON THE DAY OF REPUBLIC ORGANIZED IN THE SARDARAPAT MEMORIAL COMPLEX

Today a celebration was organized in the Sardarapat memorial complex
dedicated to the Day of Republic – 91st anniversary of establishment
of First Armenian Republic.

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, the NA Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan,
Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan, Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin
II, representatives of legislative and executive bodies, highest
commandership of the Armenian Armed Forces, heads of local self
governmental bodies and other officials as well as heads of diplomatic
representations accredited in Armenia came to pay tribute to the memory
of soldiers who perished in the Sardarapat heroic battle. Diaspora
Armenians and foreigners also took part in the event.

Authorities of the state put flowers and paid tribute to the memory
of victims of the heroic battles.

Leaded by the Armenian President the guests also visited the State
Museum of Armenian Ethnography and National Freedom struggle, where
exhibits brought from Armenian History Museum, National Archives and
National Gallery were presented.

During celebration organized on the occasion of 91st anniversary
of Sardarapat heroic battle children’s ethnic song and dance groups
performed dances and songs.

Different provinces of the republic organized reception in the most
triumphant place of the last century – creating an atmosphere of
rural life. The exhibition of food was accompanied with concerts of
different music groups of provinces.

On the occasion of 91st anniversary of victory in the May heroic
battles events have been organized in different provinces of the
republic. Celebrations have also been organized in Aparan and Vanadzor.
