EU INFORMATION CENTERS TO BE CREATED IN ARMENIA

YEREVAN, JUNE 10, NOYAN TAPAN. On June 10, RA National Security
Council Secretary, Chairman of the Interdepartmental Commission on
Coordination of Armenia’s Cooperation with European Structures Artur
Baghdasarian received deputy of Estonian parliament, member of the
Commission on Control of Constitutional and State Budget Hannes
Rumm, Armenian-European Policy and Legal Advice Center (AEPLAC)
head Alexey Makarev, Center Deputy Head Kate Kasemets, and expert
Tigran Chorokhian.

According to the report of the RA National Security Council Press
Office, issues regarding the Armenia-European Union Actions Plan of
European Neighborhood Policy, as well as formation of EU information
centers in Armenia were discussed at the meeting.

A. Baghdasarian informed the guests that several working groups have
been already formed, which have started working out conceptions in
various directions.

Attaching importance to creation of EU information centers in Armenia,
the guests expressed readiness to provide necessary assistance in
the issue of program implementation.
