/PanARMENIAN.Net/ Washington has today reported that US President
Barack Obama has no intention to change his tough stance on repressing
demonstrations in Iran. The United States has always been in favor
of peaceful conflict settlement and has no intention to intervene
in another country’s domestic affairs, White House Press Secretary
Robert Gibbs said.

Let’s note that Republican Party representatives have been recently
criticizing Obama for his passive stance on the issue and refusal to
condemn bloodshed in Iran.

Barack Obama who hosts his first Rose Garden news conference today
has announced that he will not let US become a shield for Iranian
opposition. However, he does not rule out possibility of intervention
in case of escalation of violence.

Last week Obama expressed belief that Mir-Hossein Musavi and
Ahmadinejad’s pre-electoral programs did not actually differ much
from each other.

President Obama finds that Iran will continue its hostilities
towards US, no matter who the President will be. Besides, Tehran is
destabilizing Near East in an attempt to develop nuclear weapons,
newsru.co.il quotes US President as saying.
