ArmInfo. Ameriabank continues considering the possibility of merging/
amalgamation. Ameriabank Director for Development Tigran Jrbashyan
told journalists, Tuesday, that within the frames of this initiative,
some banks are being analyzed. According to him, over the last 6
months, elaborations were constantly held, and Ameriabank specialists
considered two or three versions.

Jrbashyan said that under the crisis conditions in the
investment sphere it is expedient to practically use the notion of
inorganic growth when the company is expanded by means of merging/
amalgamation. "Everything depends on the analysis and assessment of
adequate value and risks – this issue is being considered thoroughly
enough. Any investment banker in any point of the world knows that
over the crisis period prices decrease, assets cost cheaper, and for
more intensive development it is more reasonable to use inorganic
growth. Certainly, we are working in this direction",- Jrbashyan
stressed.

To note, Ameriabank CJSC focuses on investment banking, and also
provides the whole spectrum of universal banking services. The
strategic partner of the bank is Troyka Dialog, one of the largest
investment banking companies in Russioa. The majority shareholder
of Ameriabank is TDA Holdings Limited (99.7%) affiliated with Troyka
Dialog.
