DESSISLAVA ROUSSANOVA: ONE OF THE SPECIFIC FEATURES OF THE NAGORNYY KARABAKH CONFLICT IS THAT ARMENIANS AND AZERBAIJANIS HAVE MUCH IN COMMON

ArmInfo. All the main aspects which together make the Karabakh conflict
exist in many other conflicts as well. But one of the specific features
of the Nagornyy Karabakh conflict is that Armenians and Azerbaijanis
have much in common and many things connect them, manager of the
EurAsian programme International Alert Dessislava Roussanova told
ArmInfo correspondent.
She thinks, this is first of all the cultural traditions of the
Caucasus which strictly differ from the cultural specifications of
other regions of the world. When representatives of Armenia and
Azerbaijan are not in the Caucasus but, for instance, in abroad,
they feel themselves closer than representatives of other nations,
she thinks.
‘As for the specification, specification of every conflict is displayed
in the formula of its resolving. This is why this conflict differs
from that one so much. The uniqueness of the Karabakh conflict is
displayed in the formula of its resolving and in the details which
this formula consists of’, – Dessislava Roussanova said.
