BRAZIL APPOINTS NEW AMBASSADOR TO ARMENIA

The newly appointed Ambassador of Brazil to Armenia, Marcela Maria
Nicodemos, presented the copies of her credentials to the Foreign
Minister of Armenia, Edward Nalbandian.

Congratulating Mrs. Nicodemos, Minister Nalbandian wished success to
the Ambassador in carrying out her mission in Armenia and expressed
hope that the new Ambassador of Brazil would contribute to the
reinforcement and deepening of bilateral cooperation.

Ambassador Nicodemos noted that Brazil cherishes special feelings for
Armenia and the Armenian people, and the authorities of her country
intend to take practical steps to develop comprehensive relations
with Armenia.

During the conversation the Armenian Foreign Minisetr and the
Brazilian Ambassador discussed issues related to the political
dialogue, economic and cultural cooperation, expansion of the legal
field and intensification of interparliamentary contacts.
